NRB «Officer-level» Competitive Exam (Officer III / सहायक निर्देशक)
Held via open competition under the Human Resource Management Department, this recruitment process selects candidates for the Officer Grade III position.
Following a pre-test, candidates must pass subject-specific written exams (e.g. Economics, Management, Public/Banking Law, IT for technical applicants) and a final interview. A practical exam may be required for IT roles. Results determine final ranking and appointment.
The current syllabus (effective from Bhadra 18, 2080 B.S.) clearly outlines required topics including:
Macro/Microeconomics, Public Finance, Monetary Theory, Banking Regulation & Supervision (under NRB circulars), IT & Cyber‑security for technical streams.
